Poker Players try for WSOP main event seat

Its that time of the year again for all poker fans, the World Series of Poker main event poker tournament is coming. There are many online poker rooms that are offering free seats or low buy in satellite tournaments to the WSOP main event 2008. Take advantage of these opportunities and try for your seat into the 2008 WSOP main event.

PokerStars is offering over 2000 seats into this years WSOP tournament. They are offering satellite tournaments with buy ins as low as $2. Definitely worth a shot for the seat. Visit PokerStars for more details.

Speaking of PokerStars, I have been on a bad roll for the past two weeks with calling stations at the poker tables sucking out on me. Very, very frustrating for me, let me tell you. It amazes me that players will call with garbage hands and still manage to eek out a winning hand. I have to constantly remind myself that the odds are way in my favor and over time, I will come out ahead. You have to remember that poker is a long term odds statistics game, and the losers with a 10% chance of winning the hand WILL beat you 10% of the time. It just seems that it happens in spurts at PokerStars and I have been on quite a streak these past two weeks. My 90% advantage has not come through for me consecutively, causing a lot of poker frustration on my part. What I have learned to start doing is to stop playing for a day or two. I do believe that luck is a part of the game and people do seem to have streaks, lucky streaks and losing streaks. I have found that by stopping my play for the day after a few bad beats will help me mentally deal with losing with a superior poker hand. The frustration can and will lead to bad poker play as you continue to get upset over losing. Stop your play, gather your thoughts and remember the long term results will come through for you. I do find that my bad luck streaks are much more prevalent at PokerStars, but I do honestly believe that it is due to the sheer number of players at their poker room. There are plenty of calling stations at PokerStars and I need to remember to thank them for calling with their weak hands, because in the long run, I will overcome the losing streaks and the odds will play through over time.

Full Tilt Poker is also a great online poker room that is giving away free seats into the 2008 WSOP main event tournament. You can buy into a satellite tournament for as little as $2 at Fultilt and win your way into the main event. It can happen, and it does happen, so take a chance at the big leagues this year and give it a shot. What do you have to lose but a few dollars? Most definitely worth a shot. One of my favorite features at Full Tilt Poker is the pro chat. You can actually play against and chat with real poker professionals from all over the world. Full Tilt poker has recruited a team of super poker players, and I am sure that you will find more than a few of your favorite poker pros to chat with. You can actually discuss poker strategy with the best in the world, so start playing at Full Tilt Poker and pick the pros brains for some valuable poker strategy tips. I have played against some pros in tournaments at Full Tilt and they will play in all levels of tournament buy ins. A great way to test your poker skills and put your money where your mouth is. If you like to play online poker for fun, you should try Poker.com. They offer daily freeroll tournaments with real cash prizes. Nothing to lose, a lot of cash to gain with freeroll poker tournaments every day at Poker.com. They have a great reputation and are an old school poker room that you can trust. I have played in tournaments where there were still rebuys available on the final table, so although the volume of players is significantly lower than PokerStars, the advantages of this need to be taken advantage of. Fewer players means better odds of reaching the final table and cashing out with a win. I do quite well playing poker tournaments at Poker.com and I attribute this to the fact that there are fewer players who seem to be a bit better players than at other online poker rooms. They offer blackjack, video poker, and ruolette for your enjoyment, as well as all of the traditional poker games. I like playing the multi-hand video poker and the blackjack tables are fun to play, too. A great poker room with great casino games, I would recommend that you visit Poker.com and start off playing in their freeroll poker tournaments.

Online poker continues to grow at an enourmous pace, and the skilled poker player can cash out big time if you play consitently and stay focused on your poker strategy. I always turn off the player chat as soon as I start playing poker oniline. Do not give any other players the opportunity to distract you and your thought process as this will affect your play. Always turn off the player chat feature when you play online poker. I guarantee that this will improve your poker game.
